He was born in Ispit in 1961. He attended Haydarpaşa High School in 1977 and completed his medical study in Istanbul
Medical Faculty in 1983. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Zeynep Kamil Women and Children Diseases Education and Research Hospital in 1986-1990. He became a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and worked in high-risk pregnancies and gynaecological surgery unit as a Chief Intern. He began working in Izzet Baysal University Düzce Faculty of Medicine as an assistant professor in 1997. He became a professor in March 2006. He was an advisor to Rector, member of faculty committee and board of management. He spent one year as an observer in College of Medicine, Houston in 1995. He worked in Obstetrics and Gynaecology clinic in University of Rostock in Germany, SCHWERIN in 1999. He also worked in Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul University from 2001 to 2006 in Gynaecology & Oncology department. He was a board member and general secretary of Turkish Uro-gynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Society from 1997 until 2005. He has been a member of the board of director of Turkish Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society since October 2004. He holds the following posts -General Executive Board member of Turkish Gynaecology Society, Society of Gynaecologic Endoscopy, Society of Gynaecologic Oncology, Obstetrics Gynaecology Ultrasound Society, Turkish Perinatology Society, European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO), European Society for Gynaecological endoscopy (ESGE), International Continence Society and International Association members Uro-gynecology. He held a secretarial post in the three international congresses in Turkey. He was a speaker in a symposium.
He organized 15 postgraduate training workshops and worked as a lecturer and course coordinator. He took part in over 80 workshops held nationally as a course coordinator and guest speaker. He held surgical trainings in Zonguldak Karaelmas Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul, Kartal Teaching Hospital, Izmir SSK Tepecik Maternity Hospital, Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine, Erzurum Ataturk University Faculty of Medicine, Zeynep Kamil Women and Children Diseases Hospital, Göztepe (SSK) Hospital, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Medical Faculty, Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Trakya, Faculty of Medicine, Hatay Mustafa Kemal University School of Medicine.
He received following awards in National Congress Scientific Presentation competitions. He came first with "Turkish Women in the Postmenopausal Period Urinary Incontinence Frequency” in National Urogynecology Congress 1999, seventh with "Polycystic ovarian syndrome ethinyl estradiol-cyproterone acetate in women with serum homocysteine levels and the effect of treatment "presentation, in 5th National Congress of Gynaecology and Obstetrics in 2006, a merit in ‘’Post menopause uterine bleeding histo-pathological evaluation’’ in the 2nd National Symposium on Menopause and Osteoporosis, 1995. His twenty-one scientific projects received grant from TÜBİTAK.
He has 39 published articles in international journals and 90 in national journals. His work has been cited in over 200 international journals and books. He presented in 15 international scientific conferences and 56 national conferences. He wrote a chapter in a book published internationally and 18 chapters in books published nationally. He is currently the assistant editor in Turkish Gynaecology and Obstetrics Society Journal. He is also a referee to Gynaecological Surgery, Medical Scientists Monitor, Archives of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Gynaecologic Obstetrics Investigation, Neuro-urology and Urodynamics) along with 11 journals. He has been a member of the editorial board of International Journal of Gynaecology and Obstetrics journal in Turkey since 2008. H was selected to be on the Advisory Board of the International Federation Society of Obstetrics Gynaecology (FIGO). He developed a diagnostic ultrasound and an operation method and his findings are acknowledged in international literature. He is listed in “Who is who in medicine and healthcare, 2002 ”index in America and “International Biography Centre” in Cambridge, UK.
